Practices and Impacts
- The project team has focused the majority of their efforts on cutting invasive plants at their base. Successive eradication measures are primarily focused on spraying the invasive species.
- To provide nesting for the black-capped chickadee, a regionally important species, the team placed nest boxes on-site. Brush piles on-site provide additional shelter.
- The Eastern Box Turtle has been spotted on-site. This vulnerable reptile species utilizes the grassland, woodland and brush piles as habitat.
