Topics we’re interested in
We’re looking for the new and now. Presentation topics must be current and relevant to the convergence of business and biodiversity, and offer solutions and strategies to make a positive impact for people and planet. We’re especially interested in diverse and inclusive voices as well as interactive presentation elements. Special consideration will be given to the following topics:
- From Nature Strategy to Action
- Turning corporate commitments, frameworks and nature strategies into practical action at the site and enterprise level.
- Measuring and Scaling Conservation Impact
- Using data, monitoring and evaluation to demonstrate outcomes, guide investment and scale successful conservation efforts.
- Technology and Innovation for Nature
- AI, eDNA, remote sensing, citizen science and other emerging technologies that are changing how companies understand and manage nature.
- From Sites to Landscapes
- Moving beyond individual properties through watershed approaches, supply chains, landscape-scale conservation and cross-company initiatives.
- People, Partnerships and Environmental Equity
- Engaging local communities, employees, partners and other stakeholders to advance conservation and deliver equitable social and environmental outcomes.
- Water, Biodiversity and Resilience
- Freshwater biodiversity, watershed restoration, nature-based solutions and the connections between water, climate and ecosystem resilience.
- Conservation in Practice
- Real-world examples of habitat restoration, species conservation, pollinators, threatened ecosystems, WHC Certification and other approaches that are delivering measurable results.
These themes are intended as starting points, not limitations. We welcome submissions on other topics relevant to corporate conservation, biodiversity and nature action.
Presentation formats
Our venue, and minds, are open to a variety of session formats including:
- Traditional session: One to three speakers, each giving their unique perspective, one at a time, on a specific topic. (60 mins total)
- Conversation sessions: Three to four panelists guided in a question and answer conversation by a moderator (mostly visual free). (60 mins total)
- Interactive workshops: A small team leading an audience in exercises to learn about a specific topic or issue. (90-120 mins total)
Guidelines
- We will not be able to accept more than one representative from an organization in a traditional or conversation session. We strive to offer our audience several different views on a topic and will typically group together speakers from different organizations as we build the program.
- Consultants submitting a speaker proposal must propose a corporate partner as a co-presenter to be considered. If your consulting firm is interested in a sponsored session, please contact events@tandemglobal.org.
