In 2018, CalPortland acquired a ten-acre site in Jurupa Valley, California, which now serves as the Regional Corporate Headquarters and Center for Technical Excellence. The CalPortland team has helped transform the area, located on a former industrial site. The surrounding vicinity is characterized by urban and suburban development intermixed with agriculture and undeveloped lands. The area around the project site is moderately dense one- to two-story residential and commercial buildings.

- An area of 0.2 acres was planted around the headquarters building with primarily native plants to support local pollinators.
- The plants are maintained in a typical manner with limited pesticide use to minimize impacts on pollinators. Each plant is also labeled to improve communication between staff regarding management.
